ONIX XMT20 is the latest piece to the ONIX Zenith line and the first device featuring our newly developed Linux streaming platform, optimized for simplified and faster controls, putting higher emphasis on the remote operations thanks to the full integration of Tidal Connect, QOBUZ Connect and ROON Ready Certification.
USB port and SSD slot are prepared for gapless local playback of all types of Hi-Res files, with the Eddict Controller app for Android / iOS acting as the playback controller. And the industry standard support of DLNA and Airplay 2 will take care of any other playback scenarios.

XMT20 is a streamer transport, in essence combining the high quality digital outputs and power supply of ONIX XST20 SACD, with a simplified streamer platform. Ideal as a digital source for ONIX XDA20 DAC or any other highend DAC on the market, utilizing its I2S output with 10 pinout modes.
The new system is running on Linux and is much more efficient and polished than the Android system of Shanling SM/SMT13. Serving more as an endpoint for streaming, with all the controls being done on the phone/tablet/computer. XMT20 will come with Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect and Roon Ready implemented right at the release. We also made sure that the playback from USB drives or internal M.2 SSD slot is properly optimized for quick controls from Eddict Controller app (And this time with fully gapless playback). And then there is DLNA/Airplay2 support for any other needs.
XMT20 is also our first streamer that supports playback/ripping of CDs, compatible with basic USB CD drives and also Shanling CR60.
High-End Grade Digital Output
Offering six digital outputs, including standard Coaxial, Optical, BNC and AES/ABU, alongside our advanced USB output and specialized I2S output. The FPGA-Assisted I2S output offers 10 preconfigured output pinouts, significantly expanding its compatibility to virtually all I2S-capable DACs on the market. A pair of KDS high-precision crystal oscillators then provides high-end level digital output with reduced jitter.
In essence, imagine combining the beautiful sound of our acclaimed ONIX XST20 SACD player with the unlimited music libraries of streaming services.
Adapted for CD playback & Ripping
ONIX XMT20 also comes with our new CD Playback/Ripping system, compatible with basic USB CD drives or a more advanced Shanling CR60 CD Player. This function allows for either direct playback of CD discs or CD ripping into the SSD/USB drive, including full automatic tagging and album art downloading system (managed through Eddict Controller app).
Final member of Zenith line
The final member of the Zenith family arrives, completing the line alongside the ONIX XST20 SACD transport and the ONIX XDA20 DAC.
Following the set style of Zenith line, with a robust aluminium body, exquisitely crafted by CNC machines to match the stunning ONIX design, with the traditional golden wheel making for the traditional ONIX heritage. Power supply is provided by 25VA Talema Transformer, matching the excellent Hi-Fi performance of our XST20 SACD transport.
